It takes a long time to become young
- Pablo Picasso
While there’s no earthly way to argue that 60 is young, why not pretend for a few days?
So excited you are coming to celebrate my 60th in the desert this January.
As many of you already know, I’ve always loved my birthday. I mean, really loved it.
For me, it’s not so much about the celebration of ME. I mean, presents, cakes, balloons, who doesn’t like that? But honestly, there’s just this joy I feel around birthdays because they celebrate the reality of our aliveness. So while I am shocked that I am actually turning 60, (how did that happen?) I feel supremely lucky to still be alive to enjoy it.
Everyone who made their way to this website is one of my very best friends. You don’t all know one another yet, but you will. I only love the very best people. I am sure you’ll agree by the end of the weekend.
To that end, I want to share a little bit about who will be your next besties.
In this group, we have people who hail from Buenos Aires, Rio, London, Sweden, South Africa, Canada, NYC, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Greenwich, Scottsdale, California, Chicago, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina.
In attendance will be a former dog breeder, a marathon runner, an art consultant, tennis players galore, lawyers, education professionals, nurses, corporate executives, car experts, marketing geniuses, headhunters, PR professionals, financiers, an Irish Step Dancer, real estate tycoons, design professionals of all sorts, painters, poets, dog lovers, cat lovers, military folks, a movie producer, a rancher, a jui jitsu master, photographers, a quartet of Tarheels, entrepreneurs, consultants, golfers, artists, a game creator, philanthropists, and a city mayor.
While you all have different skills and interests, what you share, however, is my undying love and gratitude.
Looking forward to celebrating us all being alive.
Now let’s have some fun.
